Abstract

Name: Monitoring of patients with COVID-19 after MLS laser therapy. Objectives: The main goal of this thesis is to evaluate the effectiveness of MLS laser therapy in patients with COVID-19 in the short and long term, to identify possible risks of therapy and to compare the results with foreign publications. Methods: Data obtained from disease records and the results of X-rays of probands hospitalized in an anonymized hospital and data obtained by research of foreign publications for the control group are used to evaluate this work. Probands in the experimental group were given MLS laser therapy during their stay in the Covid ward at the hospital. Their clinical condition was monitored, in particular blood oxidation saturation, Barthel index, X-rays of the chest and subjective condition of probands was also obtained. Results: Out of a total of 53 probands in the experimental group, 49 probands survived (92.5% which is a more favorable figure than 80% of the statistics of the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic) and 47 of them were released into the home environment (88.7% vs. 50% released from foreign publications) and only two were transferred to after-intensive care beds. Cíle: Hlavním cílem této práce je zhodnocení efektivity terapie MLS laserem pacientů s COVID-19 z krátkodobého i dlouhodobého hlediska, zjištění možných rizik terapie a porovnání výsledků se zahraničními publikacemi. Metody: Pro zhodnocení této práce je využíváno dat získaných z chorobopisů a výsledků rentgenových snímků probandů hospitalizovaných v anonymizované nemocnici a dat získaných rešerší zahraničních publikací pro kontrolní skupinu. Probandům v experimentální skupině byla aplikována terapie MLS laserem během pobytu na covidovém oddělení v nemocnici. Byl sledován jejich klinický stav, zejména saturace oxidace krve, Barthel index, RTG snímky hrudníku a byl získáván i subjektivní stav probandů. Výsledky: Z celkového počtu 53 probandů v experimentální skupině 49 probandů přežilo (92,5 % což je příznivější číslo než 80 % ze statistických údajů Ministerstva zdravotnictví ČR) a 47 z nich bylo propuštěno do domácího prostředí (88,7 % vs. 50 % propuštěných ze zahraničních publikací) a pouze dva byli přeloženi na lůžka následné intenzivní péče.
