Případ historika Jurije Dmitrijeva a jeho reflexe v ruských a západních médiích

Abstract

Diplomová práce Případ historika Jurije Dmitrijeva a jeho reflexe v ruských a západních médiích sleduje průběh soudního procesu s objevitelem masového pohřebiště obětí stalinských represí, který byl v letech 2016-2021 souzen v Rusku za zneužívání adoptivní dcery a šíření pornografického materiálu. Spolupracovníci Dmitrijeva z lidskoprávního hnutí Memorial a významné ruské a osobnosti jsou však pevně přesvědčeni o jeho nevině. V chronologicky řazených kapitolách studie nastíní historii Velkého teroru v severní Karélii, odhalení masových hrobů v devadesátých letech, problematiku rehabilitace paměti v Ruské federaci, příčiny zatčení karelského historika a jednotlivé fáze soudního procesu. Hlavní badatelský záměr této práce je na základě dvou teoretických modelů The Neo-soviet system of the Media a The Russian "Firehose of Falsehood" Propaganda Mondel analyzovat, jakým způsobem reflektovala daný případ ruská federální a tzv. nezávislá média, a jejich přístup komparovat s médii západními. Keywords The thesis The Yuri Dmitriev Case and its Reflection in Russian and Western media follows the course of the trial of the discoverer of the mass burial site of victims of Stalinist repression, who was tried in Russia in 2016-2021 for abuse of his adopted daughter and dissemination of pornographic material. However, Dmitriev's associates from the Memorial human rights movement and prominent Russian public figures are firmly convinced of his innocence. In chronologically arranged chapters, the study outlines the history of the Great Terror in northern Karelia, the uncovering of mass graves in the 1990s, the issue of memory rehabilitation in the Russian Federation, the reasons for the arrest of the Karelian historian, and the various stages of the trial. The main research aim of this thesis is to analyze, on the basis of two theoretical models, The Neo-Soviet System of the Media and The Russian "Firehose of Falsehood" Propaganda Model, how the Russian federal and so-called independent media reflected the case and to compare their approach with the Western media.
