dc.description.abstract	Tato studie zkoumá myšlenky indického spisovatele Amitava Ghoshe, a to v souvislosti s klimatickou fikcí. Analyzuje především jeho non-fiction esej The Great Derangement, která byla publikovaná v roce 2016. Tato esej vyzvala spisovatele klimatické fikce k začlenění realistického obsahu z přítomnosti a zároveň navrhuje, aby forma románu obsahovala odpor vůči zobrazování nepravděpodobných událostí souvisejících se změnou klimatu. Tato studie souhlasí s určitými předpoklady jeho eseje, ale zároveň nesouhlasí s jeho tvrzením o formě románu a argumentuje tím, že romány mají vysoký estetický potenciál pro emotivní vyobrazení změn klimatu. Cílem této studie je zdůraznění nedostatků Ghoshova argumentu a nabízí typ apologie proti jeho tvrzení. První kapitola detailně vykládá The Great Derangement, zaměřující se konkrétněji na Ghoshův přístup k dějinám románu. Druhá kapitola nabízí alternativní výklad historie románu a porovnává ho s Ghoshovými ideami. Třetí kapitola se zaměřuje na některé realistické klimatické romány ze druhého desetiletí 21. století, a především na jejich dopady na čtenáře. dc.description.abstract	This study investigates the ideas of the Indian writer Amitav Ghosh in relation to climate fiction. In particular, it analyses his non-fiction essay The Great Derangement, published in 2016. This essay offered a challenge to climate-fiction novelists to incorporate realist content from the contemporary day, while also proposing that the form of the novel contains resistances to the depiction of improbable climate-change events. This study concurs with certain premises of his essay, but disagrees with his claims about the novel's form, arguing that the novel holds great aesthetic potential for emotive depictions of climate-change events. The aim of this study is to highlight the deficiencies in Ghosh's argument, offering a type of apologia for the novel, against Ghosh's claims. The first chapter explicates The Great Derangement in detail, specifically discussing Ghosh's treatment of the novel's history. The second chapter offers an alternate history of the novel, all the time attuned to how this relates to Ghosh's ideas. The third chapter looks at some realist climate novels from the 2010s, primarily with the effects upon the reader in mind, starting with Ghosh's own novel Gun Island (2019), which involved a tacit response to his concerns in The Great Derangement; then moving on to Barbara...	en_US
