Postmoderní pohled na karafiátovou revoluci v románu Os Memoráveis od Lídii Jorge

Abstract

This bachelor thesis focuses on the analysis of the postmodern novel The Memorables (Os Memoráveis, 2014) written by the prominent contemporary Portuguese writer Lídia Jorge. The thesis first presents the historical background of the Carnation Revolution, the central theme of the novel, and examines Portuguese literary developments during the given period. A separate chapter is devoted to the life and work of Lídia Jorge, including the author's view of the famous April Revolution. Subsequently follows the analysis of the novel itself, which, based on Linda Hutcheon's postmodern poetics and deconstruction, gradually examines the novel's individual characters and compares them with their true historical counterparts.

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou postmoderního románu Nezapomenutelní (Os Memoráveis, 2014) jehož autorkou je významná současná portugalská spisovatelka Lídia Jorge. Práce nejprve přibližuje historické pozadí karafiátové revoluce, která je hlavním tématem celého románu, a věnuje se také portugalskému literárnímu vývoji v daném období. Samostatná kapitola je věnována životu a tvorbě Lídii Jorge a nechybí ani autorčin pohled na slavný dubnový převrat. Následuje pak samotná analýza díla, která se na základě postmoderní poetiky Lindy Hutcheon a dekonstrukce postupně věnuje jednotlivým postavám románu a srovnává je s jejich skutečnými historickými protějšky.
