Interference při zpracování vět v češtině

Abstract

The presented master's thesis focuses on interference during sentence processing in Czech. The foundation of this work lies in the study by Sandra Villata, Whitney Tabora, and Julie Franck: Encoding and Retrieval Interference in Sentence Comprehension: Evidence from Agreement (2018). This study argues that sentence processing involves encoding interference and suggests that this interference can explain various phenomena previously attributed to retrieval interference. The empirical part of the master's thesis presents three self-paced reading. The aim of these experiments is to conceptually replicate the findings of the aforementioned study using Czech sentences. The experiments in the thesis manipulate the form of interference and other methodological aspects, such as the structure of comprehension questions. The results of the presented experiments provide evidence for encoding interference during sentence processing in Czech.

Předkládaná diplomová práce se zabývá interferencí při zpracování vět v češtině. Východiskem této práce je studie Sandry Villaty, Whitney Tabora a Julie Franck: Encoding and Retrieval Interference in Sentence Comprehension: Evidence from Agreement (2018), v níž autoři tvrdí, že při zpracování vět dochází k tzv. interferenci při kódování (encoding interference) a že tato interference může vysvětlit různé jevy, které se dříve vysvětlovaly spíše na základě interference při vybavování (retrieval interference). Výzkumná část diplomové práce představuje sérii tří experimentů využívajících metodu čtení vlastním tempem, jejichž cílem je prostřednictvím konceptuální replikace ověřit poznatky výše uvedené studie na českých větách. Jednotlivé experimenty manipulují podobu interference a další metodologické aspekty, jako je podoba otázek na porozumění. Výsledky prezentovaných experimentů přináší důkaz o interferenci při kódování při zpracování vět v češtině.
