Genderové stereotypy související s rolí muže jako poskytovatele ošetřovatelské péče očima studentů

Abstract

Genderové stereotypy nesoucí se s mužem, jako vykonavatelem práce sestry jsou ve společnosti aktuálním tématem. Cílem této práce je zmapovat stereotypní smýšlení studentů o mužích jako studentech, či zaměstnancích na pozici všeobecné sestry. Teoretická část práce definuje stereotyp jako takový, role, do kterých jsou sestry stavěny a muže jako jejich plnitele. Dále je popisováno postavení mužů v zaměstnání i během studia a zdali je stereotypní myšlení v jejich kariéře ovlivňuje. Empirická část práce využívá data získaná formou dotazníkového šetření pomocí strukturovaného dotazníku vlastní konstrukce, který byl distribuován studentům Všeobecného ošetřovatelství a studentům Pediatrického ošetřovatelství 2. LF UK v tištěné podobě. Z celkového množství rozdaných dotazníků jich bylo 97 vyplněno kompletně. Podrobné výsledky jsou znázorněny v tabulárních přehledech a výsečových diagramech. Vyhodnocením dotazníkového šetření bylo dokázáno, že stereotypy panují spíše v laické společnosti, než mezi studenty samotnými. Z toho lze odvodit, že sami studenti nepovažují muže na pozici sestry za nezvyklý úkaz. Většinová část studentů pak vnímá muže spíše jako přínosného v tomto povolání a nesoustředí se na stereotypy s ním související. Klíčová slova Gender, Muž jako sestra, Ošetřovatelství, Stereotyp

The Abstract Gender stereotypes associated with men working as nurses are currently a topical issue in society. The aim of this study is to map out students' stereotypical perceptions of men as students or employees in the role of a general nurse. The theoretical part of the study defines stereotypes as well as the roles assigned to nurses and men as their performers. Furthermore, it describes the position of men in the workplace and during their studies, and whether stereotypical thinking affects their careers. The empirical part of the study utilizes data obtained through a questionnaire survey using a structured questionnaire of its own construction, which was distributed to students of General Nursing and Pediatric Nursing at the 2nd Faculty of Medicine, Charles University, in printed form. Out of the total number of distributed questionnaires, 97 were completed in full. Detailed results are presented in tabular summaries and pie charts. The evaluation of the questionnaire survey demonstrated that stereotypes prevail more in lay society than among the students themselves. From this, it can be inferred that the students themselves do not consider men in the role of a nurse to be an unusual phenomenon.
