Pojem zjevení v teologii Averyho Dullese a Geralda O'Collinse

Abstract

The diploma thesis presents a selected part of the fundamental theology of two important fundamental theologians of the 20th century: Avery Dulles and Gerald O'Collins. The first part of the work introduces the overall context of thinking (life and work) of both theologians. The next part will focus on the analysis of specific theological studies, that deal with the concept of revelation, I will focus mainly on Dulles's books Revelation Theology: A History, Models of Revelation and primary O'Collins texts on the topic: Fundamental Theology, Rethinking Fundamental Theology, Revelation. I will try to describe the essential features of their understanding of the concept and models of revelation and compare the advantages and limits of both theological perspectives.

Diplomová práce představuje vybranou část fundamentální teologie dvou významných fundamentálních teologů 20 století: Averyho Dullese a Geralda O'Collinse. První část práce přiblíží celkový kontext myšlení (život a dílo) obou teologů. Další část se zaměří na analýzu konkrétních teologických studií, které se zabývají pojmem zjevení, zaměřím se především na Dullesovy knihy Revelation Theology: A History, Models of Revelation a základní O'Collinsovy texty k tématu: Fundamental Theology, Rethinking Fundamental Theology, Revelation. Pokusím se popsat základní rysy jejich chápání pojmu a modelů zjevení a porovnat výhody a limity obou teologických perspektiv.
