El patriotismo en la obra de Antonio Machado

Abstract

This thesis addresses the presence of patriotism in the work of Antonio Machado. The objective of this thesis is to find the elements of patriotism in both the writer's poetry and prose. Special attention is paid to the collections of poems Soledades, Galerías y otros poemas and Campos de Castilla and, also, to the book Juan de Mairena. In addition, there are presented his poems from the Civil War period, and letters, in which patriotism can also be found. At the same time, the work represents the political and social situation in Spain at the turn of the century, regenerationism, the Generation of 98 and Machado's reflection on the political and social situation during the First World War both in Spain and in Europe. Tato práce se zabývá přítomností vlastenectví v díle Antonia Machada. Cílem této práce je nalézt prvky vlastenectví jak v poezii, tak v próze spisovatele. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována sbírkám básní Soledades, Galerías y otros poemas a Campos de Castilla a také dílu Juan de Mairena. Kromě toho jsou uvedeny jeho básně z období občanské války a dopisy, ve kterých se dá mluvit o vlastenectví. Dílo zároveň představuje politicko-sociální situaci Španělska na přelomu století, regeneracionismus, generaci 98 a Machadovy myšlenky/přemyšlení o politické a společenské situaci ve Španělsku i v Evropě.
