Německá protivatikánská politika a její reflexe ve zprávách československého vyslanectví u Svatého stolce

Abstract

This bachelor's thesis deals relationships between The Holy See and Germany in years 1933- 1939. The reaction of the Holy See to the rise of Nazism to power in Germany and what were the Nazis' attitudes towards the Catholic Church. Further, the work deals with diplomatic relations between of the two countries, where this thesis will be mainly devoted to the signing of the concordat. In conclusion, this thesis will focus on changing the attitude of the Holy See to Germany and how the Nazis welcomed the election of the new Pope Pius XII. Thesis will be written from the point of view of the political reports of the Czechoslovak Embassy at the Holy See and how the relations of these countries were described in them. Thesis will be primarily based on the archive of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic in Prague and extensive literature. Bakalářská práce se zabývá vztahy mezi Svatým stolcem a Německem v období let 1933-1939, a to především reakcí Svatého stolce na nástup nacistů k moci v Německu a postojem nacistů vůči katolické církvi. Dále se zabývá diplomatickými vztahy mezi oběma zeměmi, kde je pozornost soustředěna na uzavření říšského konkordátu. Na závěr se práce věnuje změně postoje Svatého stolce k Německu na konci 30. let a otázce, jak nacisté přijali volbu nového papeže, Pia XII. Práce bude vycházet především z pohledu politických zpráv československého vyslanectví u Svatého stolce, jež se nachází v rozsáhlých fondech Archivu Ministerstva zahraničních věcí ČR v Praze.
