Abstract

The bachelor's thesis deals with fullfilling the needs of the elderly in residential respite services, with a focus on activation activities. The first chapter of the theoretical part of the bachelor's thesis is devoted to the topic of old age and ageing, describing the changes on different levels that are associated with the ageing process. The second chapter turns attention to human needs and motivation, the theories of motivation and needs according to H. Murray, A. Maslow, V. Frankl are represented here. The thesis pays significant attention to A. Maslow's theory of needs and his pyramid of needs, which is an important link of the entire bachelor's thesis. The third chapter describes activation activities for the elderly and there is a description of selected activities that can be used when working with elderly. The last fourth chapter of the theoretical part informs about the characteristics and mission of the given social service. The practical part of the bachelor's thesis presents information about the facility where the research was carried out. The course of the survey, which uses a quantitative method is described. Bakalářská práce se zabývá naplňováním potřeb seniorů v odlehčovací pobytové službě, a to se zaměřením na aktivizační činnosti. První kapitola teoretické části bakalářské práce se věnuje tématu stáří a stárnutí, popisuje změny na různých úrovních, které se pojí s procesem stárnutí. Druhá kapitola obrací pozornost k lidským potřebám a motivaci, jsou zde zastoupeny teorie motivace a potřeb dle H. Murrayho, A. Maslowa a V. Frankla. Práce se významně věnuje teorii potřeb A. Maslowa a jeho pyramidě potřeb, která je důležitým pojítkem celé bakalářské práce. Třetí kapitola popisuje aktivizační činnosti pro seniory a je zde popis vybraných aktivit, které se mohou využívat při práci se seniory. Poslední čtvrtá kapitola teoretické části informuje o charakteristice a poslání dané sociální služby. Praktická část bakalářské práce uvádí informace o zařízení, ve kterém se průzkum uskutečnil. Dále je popsán průběh průzkumu, který používá kvantitativní metodu. Cílem průzkumu je zjistit, zda jsou klientům pobytové odlehčovací služby pomocí aktivizačních činností saturovány vyšší potřeby dle schématu Maslowovy pyramidy potřeb. Průzkum pracuje s pěti hypotézami, které se snaží ověřit. Empirická část končí shrnutím výsledků průzkumu.
