In the theoretical part there is a brief history of Vietnam, which is loosely followed by basic information about Vietnam. Furthermore, an introduction to traditions, customs, culture or religion. The Vietnamese are a very religious nation that prides itself on traditions, for this reason it was necessary to present the country in a more comprehensive way, as these traditions are also reflected in nursing. The thesis further discusses Vietnamese healthcare as such and the theoretical part concludes with a chapter dealing with the Vietnamese community living in the Czech Republic. V teoretické části se nalézá stručná historie Vietnamu, na kterou volně navazují základní informace o Vietnamu. Dále seznámení se s tradicemi, zvyky, kulturou nebo náboženstvím. Vietnamci jsou velmi věřící národ, který si zakládá na tradicích, z toho důvodu bylo potřeba představit zemi komplexněji, neboť tyto tradice se promítají i do ošetřovatelsví. Práce dále pojednává o vietnamském zdravotnictví jako takovém a teoretickou část zakončuje kapitola zabývající se vietnamskou komunitou žijící na území České republiky. V empirické části práce je představen výzkum, který byl proveden s Vietnamci žijícími u nás a během kterého jim byly pokládány otázky.
