zoological gardens, botanical gardens, a legislative frameworkPrávní úprava provozování zoologických a botanických zahrad Tato diplomová práce se zabývá současným stavem právní úpravy provozování zoologických a botanických zahrad. Vzhledem k neustále aktuálnější potřebě zachování biologické rozmanitosti přírodního prostředí vystupuje čím dál víc do popředí role zoologických a botanických zahrad. Tomu odpovídající úroveň právní úpravy by měla provozovatelům těchto zařízení za dodržení všech zákonných podmínek umožnit co nejefektivnější přispění k druhové ochraně ohrožených rostlin a živočichů. Zoologické a botanické zahrady se významně zapojují do druhové ochrany ex-situ, tj. mimo přirozená stanoviště druhů, zejména chovem ohrožených živočišných druhů v co nejpřirozenějším umělém prostředí či pěstováním ohrožených rostlinných druhů za účelem ochrany genofondu, a druhové ochraně in-situ, tj. přímo v místě přirozeného výskytu, a to prostřednictvím navracení odchovaných a vypěstovaných ohrožených jedinců zpět do přírody. První část práce poskytuje základní historický, společenský a ochranářský kontext existence zoologických a botanických zahrad, a zároveň uvádí nejvýznamnější organizace a sdružení, které svou činností a vzájemnou spoluprací různou měrou přispívají k plnění cílů směřujících k ochraně přírodního prostředí. V druhé části práce je mimo přehledu...
Legal regulation of the operation of zoological and botanical gardens This thesis details the current state of the legal regulation of the operation of zoological and botanical gardens. Given the ever more pressing need to preserve the biodiversity of the natural environment, the role of zoological and botanical gardens is increasingly coming to the fore. The appropriate level of regulation should enable the operators of these facilities to make the most effective contribution to the conservation of endangered flora and fauna, subject to compliance with all legal conditions. Zoological and botanical gardens are significantly involved in ex-situ species conservation, i.e. outside the natural habitats of species, in particular by breeding endangered species in the most natural environment possible or by cultivating endangered plant species in order to protect the gene pool, and in-situ species conservation, i.e. directly in their natural habitat, by returning bred and reared endangered individuals back to the wild. The first part of the thesis provides the basic historical, social and conservation context of the existence of zoological and botanical gardens, and also introduces the most important organisations and associations that contribute in various ways to the achievement of the goals of...
