Formalismo ruso, estructuralismo checo y su influencia en la teoría de la traducción contemporánea

Abstract

This dissertation studies the theoretical and aesthetic conceptions of Russian Formalism and Czech Structuralism, and the way in which these were applied to the specific field of translation studies. In the first case, the functions of translation are examined in the historical-literary studies published by Víktor Shklovsky, Yuri Tynyanov and Boris Eikhenbaum between the years 1914 and 1929. In the second case, a distinction is made between the first period of Czech structuralism, between 1928 and 1948, dominated by the personality of Jan Mukařovský, and the second period of Czech structuralism, characterized by the contribution of Jiří Levý. In our analysis, we observe that both Russian formalism and Czech structuralism, throughout their theoretical evolution, although in different ways, maintain certain common theoretical constants: systematic, dialectical and dynamic understanding of literary systems; concern for the cultural dimension of translation; profound consideration of the historicity of translational phenomena and a persistent discussion about the nature of the relationships between translation and writing. Tato práce se zabývá teoretickými a estetickými koncepcemi ruského formalismu a českého strukturalismu a způsobem, jakým byly aplikovány na konkrétní obor translatologie. V prvním případě jsou funkce překladu zkoumány v historicko-literárních studiích publikovaných Viktorem Šklovským, Jurijem Tynjanovem a Borisem Eikhenbaumem v letech 1914 až 1929. V druhém případě se rozlišuje první období českého strukturalismu, mezi 1928 a 1948, kterým dominovala osobnost Jana Mukařovského, a druhé období českého strukturalismu, charakterizované přínosem Jiřího Levého. V naší analýze pozorujeme, že jak ruský formalismus, tak český strukturalismus si po celou dobu svého teoretického vývoje, i když různými způsoby, zachovávají určité společné teoretické konstanty: systematické, dialektické a dynamické chápání literárních systémů, zájem o kulturní dimenzi překladu, hluboké zohlednění historicitu překladových jevů a přetrvávající přístup k povaze vztahu mezi překladem a psaním. V důsledku toho jsou příspěvky ruského formalismu a českého strukturalismu spojeny s teoretickými trendy, které charakterizují disciplínu dnes.
