| dc.description.abstract | The aim of this thesis is to translate the twelfth chapter of the book Spook: Science Tackles the Afterlife, written by Mary Roach, and to comment on the translation. The commentary consists of a translation analysis of the source text based on the model of Christiane Nord, a description of the method of translation, the translation problems and the procedures which were used, as well as the typology of shifts.
