| dc.description.abstract | The bachelor thesis focuses on analyzing characters from selected works of Czech fantasy literature. It makes use of Brian Attebery's theory of character in a fantasy narrative and deals with the presence of characteristics of actor and actant. The thesis is divided into several parts. The first chapters provide the theoretical background and define the term fantasy and its origin, as well as the social reach of the genre. They also deal with attributes of terms actor and actant as well as archetypes and archetypal characters. The practical part of the thesis applies this knowledge to analyze selected characters from three works of Czech fantasy literature: Ve službách klanu by Miroslava Žamboch, Psí zima by Petra Neomillnerová and Asfalt by Štěpán Kopřiva. Využívá přitom zejména teorii postavy ve fantasy narativu Briana Atteberyho a zabývá se přítomností rysů aktora a aktanta. Práce je rozdělena na několik částí. První kapitoly poskytují teoretický základ a vymezují pojem fantastiky, historii žánru a jeho sociální přesah, věnují se charakteristice pojmů aktor a aktant a popisu archetypů a archetypálních postav.
