Postava černocha v dielach ¡Écue-Yamba-O! a Kráľovstvo tohto sveta od Aleja Carpentiera

Abstract

The aim of this thesis is to focus on the topic of a black man and his position in selected works of Alejo Carpentier. This work will specifically take a look at two novels of the Cuban writer - Praised be the lord! and The kingdom of this world. The introduction will present the author and his life, afterwards this thesis will examine both of the mentioned works with the aim of comparison of both novels and their characters. The main topic of this analysis is the character of a black man and his position in a society. This thesis will also explore the topic of Carpentier's the marvelous real, which is interwoven with the character of a black man. Cieľom tejto diplomovej práce je zamerať sa na postavenie černocha vo vybraných dielach Aleja Carpentiera. Práca sa sústredí konkrétne na dva romány kubánskeho spisovateľa, ktorými sú ¡Écue-Yamba-O! a El reino de este mundo. V úvode si bližšie predstavíme autora a jeho život, následne sa práca zameria na rozbor oboch spomenutých diel s cieľom porovnať tieto romány a ich postavy. Centrálnou témou tejto analýzy je postava černocha a jeho úloha v spoločnosti. Práca sa takisto pozrie aj na tému Carpentierovho zázračného reálna, ktoré je v konečnom dôsledku s postavou černocha úzko prepojené.
