Sadismus a masochismus v medikalizaci a kultuře v poslední třetině dlouhého 19. století v českém a evropském kontextu

Abstract

The primary focus of the thesis "Sadism and Masochism in Medicalization and Culture During the Last Third of the Long 19th Century in the Czech and European Context" is, firstly, to examine the distinctive notions of sadism and masochism in the works of Austro-German psychiatrist Richard von Krafft-Ebing (1840-1903); secondly, to analyze how these two perversions came into being and took shape in the field of medicine, in literature and in society itself; and, thirdly, to explore how these concepts were then received and reinterpreted - namely in the study "Culilinctus et fellatio" by Czech forensic physician Václav Bělehradský (1844- 1896), which appeared in the Časopis lékařů českých journal and where the concepts of neronism and encolpism, counterparts to sadism and masochism, were first introduced. The thesis further explores the continuities and, more importantly, the discontinuities in sadism and masochism, starting with concepts prior to Krafft-Ebing's distinctions, focusing on their genesis as complementary perversions, and ending with their significance for the 20th century and the present day. Diplomová práce "Sadismus a masochismus v medikalizaci a kultuře v poslední třetině dlouhého 19. století v českém a evropském kontextu" se zaměřuje především na analýzu kategorií sadismu a masochismu v díle rakousko-německého psychiatra Richarda von Krafft- Ebing (1840-1903), rozbor zdrojů podoby obou perverzí v medicínské, společenské a literární oblasti a jejich recepce a reinterpretace - zejména ve studii českého soudního lékaře Václava Bělehradského (1844-1896) "Culilinctus et fellatio" v Časopise lékařů českých, kde byly vytvořeny koncepty analogických perverzí neronismu a encolpismu. Práce dále zkoumá kontinuity a především diskontinuity sadismu a masochismu, počínaje koncepty Krafft-Ebingovým kategoriím předcházejícími, pokračuje přes jejich zrod jako komplementárních perverzí a konče jejich přesahem do 20. století a současnosti. Text je koncipován jako analýza pozice erotické touhy a praxe jako konstitutivních základů koncepcí sadismu, masochismu a jim příbuzných kategorií; právě endogenní touha, nezávislá na praxi, byla totiž zdrojem moderních sexuálních identit. Pozornost je postupně věnována oběma oblastem.
