Reformační ikonografie knižních vazeb katolické liturgické literatury v Čechách

Abstract

This thesis is focused mainly on reformational iconography used on the book bindings of catholical missales and breviaries in Bohemia until the first half of the 16th century. The theoretical part of thesis analyzes czech renaissance bookbinding during this era and use of reformational iconography on blind - stamped book bindings. The practical part of thesis answers the question whether the bookbinding of catholical missales and breviaries of this time carried any reformational iconography and was used by Utraquists during their masses. Rubbings of examined books were created during the writing. The research showed that the reformational iconography preserved on mentioned types of liturgical books only in one rare case.

Diplomová práce se věnuje reformační ikonografii na knižních vazbách v Čechách do 50. let 16. století a jejímu užití na katolických misálech a breviářích. Teoretická část práce hlouběji rozebírá české renesanční knihvazačství tohoto období a užívání reformační ikonografie na slepotiskové výzdobě knižních vazeb. Praktická část práce hledá odpověď na otázku, zda vazby katolických misálů a breviářů tohoto období nesly reformační ikonografii a byly tak užívány utrakvisty při jejich mešním provozu. V rámci práce byly pořízeny frotáže zkoumaných knih. Průzkum ukázal, že reformační ikonografie na katolických knižních vazbách se dochovala na zmíněných dvou typech liturgických příruček pouze unikátně.
