Legionáři jako příslušníci četnického sboru v meziválečném Československu

Abstract

Diplomová práce analyzuje roli legionářů, kteří sloužili v četnickém sboru v celém kontextu prvorepublikové reality. Časový rámec práce je vymezen od vzniku republiky v roce 1918, resp. počátku přijímaní prvních legionářů do četnického sboru, až do konce první republiky s dovětkem v podobě nastínění situace v protektorátu. Mezi výzkumné otázky patří, jestli státem garantované výhody byly uplatňovány v praxi. Zdali legionářská minulost pomohla četníkům ke kariérnímu postupu a v neposlední řadě, jestli se jejich služba lišila od ostatních četníků, např. formou úlev. Pozornost je věnována hodnocení výkonu četníků-legionářů jejich veliteli a následné komparaci s výkony ostatních četníků. Časově je práce rozdělena na tři bloky, podle relevance pro zkoumaný fenomén. Pro zodpovězení těchto otázek bylo pracováno především s primárními prameny, zejména fondem Generálního velitele četnictva v Národním archivu. Dále byly využity prameny uložené ve Vojenském ústředním archivu a v archivu Ministerstva vnitra. Sekundární literatura k této problematice až na malé výjimky chybí. Spojení dvou fenoménů - četnictva a legionářství - literatura dosud spíše opomíjela. Střípky informací lze najít v dobových novinách, nicméně se jedná o často velmi subjektivní a zkreslené pohledy. The thesis analyses the role of legionaries who served in the gendarmerie corps and in the context of the First Republic era. The timeframe of the thesis is defined from the establishment of the Republic in 1918, respectively from the beginning of the recruitment of the first legionaries to the Gendarmerie Corps, until the end of the First Republic, with the addition of an outline of the situation in the Protectorate. Research questions include whether state- guaranteed benefits were applied in practice. Whether the legionary background helped gendarmes to advance in their careers and, last but not least, whether their service differed from that of other gendarmes (e.g., in the form of exemptions). Attention will be paid to the evaluation of the performance of legionary gendarmes by their commanders and subsequent comparison with the performance of other gendarmes. Time-wise, the thesis is divided into three blocks, according to the relevance to the phenomenon. In order to answer these questions, primary sources were worked with, especially the fonds of the General Commander of the Gendarmerie in the National Archives.
