Korupce se dnes řadí mezi velmi aktuální témata, obzvláště v souvislosti s Čínou, neboť má v každé zemi ničivé dopady na celkové investiční klima, omezuje inovace a investice do vzdělání. Míra korupce v Číně je mezinárodním společenstvím označována za kritickou. Toto hodnocení ale vychází z principů a hodnot západních tržních ekonomik a nezohledňuje čínské kulturní odlišnosti a rozdílné etické vnímání světa. Univerzální definice korupce neexistuje. Jedná se o velmi dynamický prvek, který vychází z konkrétní společensko-politické situace každé ekonomiky a závisí na mnoha faktorech. Čína je tradiční vztahová ekonomika. Celá společnost je založena na hierarchickém uspořádání vztahů, které je předpokladem pro nezbytnou harmonii mezi lidmi a morální hodnoty. Tato práce se snaží zhodnotit míru korupce v Číně s ohledem na čínské etické vnímání světa. Nejprve definuje čínské tradiční hodnoty a způsob fungování čínského podnikatelského sektoru. Dále popisuje kontakty guanxi, které jsou základním stavebním kamenem vztahů v čínské společnosti. Jedná se o fenomén, který prostupuje napříč celou čínskou společností a zahrnuje kromě jiného vztahy mezi podnikateli i mezi podnikateli a veřejnými činiteli. Today, corruption belongs to particularly topical issue, especially in connection with China, because it has destructing impacts on the overall investment climate in every country, it limits innovations and investments in education. The rate of corruption in China is labeled as critical by the international community. But this appraisal derives from the principles and values of western market economies and does not take into account the Chinese cultural differences and distinct ethical perception of the world. There is no universal definition of corruption. It is a very dynamic element, which stems from particular social-politic situation of every economy and it depends on many factors. China is a traditional relationship economy. The whole society is based on hierarchical system of relationships, which is the basis for necessary harmony among people and for moral values. This thesis tries to evaluate the rate of corruption in China in respect of the Chinese ethical perception of the world.
