Abstract

RESUMÉ DIPLOMOVÉ PRÁCE Funerální umění první třetiny 20. století v Čechách 2008 Vladislava Kuchtová Má práce se snaží upozornit na kapitolu dějin umění, která je často opomíjená, je jí věnována menší pozornost, než dílům ostatní výtvarné produkce. Přitom v rámci tvorby soustředící se na poslední věci člověka vznikaly památky nepopsatelné kvality a krásy. Již v bakalářské práci jsem se zabývala funerálním uměnín na přelomu 19. a 20. století. Můj zájem pokračuje a přenesla jsem ho do prvních tří dekád 20. století. Chci upozornit na jedinečná díla předních umělců, kteří se v hojné míře sepulkrální produkci věnovali, stejně jako na ukázky průměrnějšího charakteru, abych tak uceleněji zmapovala dění v této oblasti daného období. Soustředím se na přední osobnosti architektonické a sochařské tvorby, jakými byli František Bílek, Jan Kotěra či Stanislav Sucharda a Jan Štursa. Zároveň se věnuji autorům, kterým tak vysoká pozornost nikdy nebyla soustředěna, jako například Franta Úprka a Karel Opatrný, jejichž podíl na uměleckém odkazu na našich nekropolích není z daleka zanedbatelný. Dále se zabývám činností firem, které obchodovaly v oblasti masové komerční produkce funerálií, a jejichž aktivity se dají pomocí jejich výrobků dosledovat. v anglickém jazyce Funeral art of the first third of the 20th century My work deals with the sepulcral art and I go on with my previous attempt to describe the funeral art of the turn of the 19th and 20th century. Unlike some other poeple I do admire the atmosphere of cemetries. The way they can make me contemplate. I am also fascinated by the wide scale of artistic monuments we can find among the graves. The first third of the 20th was a fascinating period when different styles had been changing but also could have been coexisting next to each other. My work wants to show the artistic trends and tendentions , taste of the architects as well as the ordinary people. I also want to give information about the types of graves or tombs which can be find in cemetries. To show the important and fascinating works of our main artists like František Bílek and Jan Kotěra etc. is needed too. I also want to introduce couple of artists who are not as famous but their master pieces of sepulcral art should not be overlooked. Then I want to speak about works of our artists who used funeral motives as means of expression.
