Možnosti pracovního uplatnění osob s mentálním postižením; Teorie v zrcadle praxe domova sociálních služeb Slatiňany

Abstract

Tato práce uvádí do problematiky osob s mentálním postižením a možností jejich zaměstnávání v současné praxi. Teoretická část vychází z definice mentální retardace, její etiologie a klasifikace, obsahuje též popis právního zakotvení možností pracovního uplatnění osob s mentálním postižením, podtrhuje význam práce a zároveň pojednává o nutnosti motivace k práci jako takové. Praktická část je věnována popisu Domova sociálních služeb ve Slatiňanech, kde jsou tato teoretická východiska uplatňována v praxi. Tato část obsahuje nejen popis zmiňovaného zařízení v proměnách času a jejich priority v poskytování sociálních služeb, ale též popis různých forem zaměstnávání, rozhovor s vedoucí diagnosticko-metodického oddělení a příběhy konkrétních osob s mentálním postižením, které do zaměstnání docházejí. This paper introduces the issues concerning people with learning disabilities and possibilities for their employment in current practice. The theoretical section comes out of the definition of learning disability, its etiology, and classification. There is also a description of the legal basis for possibilities of employment opportunities for those with learning disabilities, emphasizing both the importance of work and the necessity of motivation towards work. The practical section is dedicated to a description of the Community Residential Facility in Slatinany, where this sort of theoretical data is put into practice. This section consists not only of a description of this facility in changing times and the priority it places on providing social services, but also a description of the various forms of employment, an interview with the head of the diagnostic-methodical department and stories of specific people with learning disabilities who are employed.
