Diagnostické možnosti měření empatie se zaměřením na českou adaptaci dotazníku A Questionnare of Cognitive and Affective Empathy

Abstract

Schopnost vžít se do druhého člověka, pochopit jeho emoční rozpoložení představuje základní sociální strategii každodenního života. Předkládaná práce se věnuje tématu empatie a psychodiagnostickým možnostem jejího měření. Za tímto účelem autor v přehledové části představuje výchozí teoretický rámec, aktuální pojetí termínu empatie založené na multidimenzionálním modelu. Navazuje představením existujících inventářů a věnuje se podrobněji A Questionnaire of Cognitive and Affective Empathy. Cílem empirické části bylo přeložit zmíněný dotazník a ověřit jeho psychometrické kvality na české populaci. Šetření se zúčastnilo 260 osob (57,7% žen), věkový průměr činil 30,73 let, směrodatná odchylka 9,6 let. Za účelem administrace byl inventář přeložen paralelním překladem třemi profesionály. Ověřována byla pětifaktorová struktura dotazníku pomocí konfirmační faktorové analýzy. Výsledky prokázaly poměrně dobrou shodu modelu s daty. Avšak z důvodu nedostatečných faktorových náloží bylo třeba odstranit 5 položek (3 položky z faktoru online simulation, 1 položka z faktoru proximal responsivity a 1 položka z faktoru peripheral responsivity); původní 31 položková verze inventáře má v českém překladu 26 položek. The ability to identify yourself with others, or to understand their emotional states, is one of the fundamental strategies of everyday life. This presented thesis is focused on the theme of empathy and psychodiagnostic potential for measuring it. For this purpose, the author presents an initial theoretical framework, the current notion of empathy based upon multidimensional model. He then shows existing inventories and discusses the Questionnaire of Cognitive and Affective Empathy in a greater detail. The aim of the empirical part is to translate this questionnaire, and to verify its psychometric qualities on the Czech population. The sample consisted of 260 participants (57,7% of women), average age was 30,73 years and standard deviation 9,6 years. To carry on the research, the inventory was parallelly translated by three professionals. The research then investigated the five-factor model through confirmatory factor analysis. The results show that the five-factor model fits the Czech data quite well. Nonetheless, five items had to be excluded due to poor factor loadings (3 from factor online simulation, 1 from factor proximal responsivity, 1 from factor peripheral responsivity); the original 31-item questionnaire has its Czech version with 26 items only.
