Cizíma očima - série publicistických rozhovorů s cizinci žijícími v České republice

Abstract

Bakalářská práce nazvaná "Cizíma očima: série rozhovorů s cizinci žijícími v České republice" se skládá z teoretické a praktické části. Praktickou část tvoří publicistické rozhovory s pěti cizinci trvale žijícími v České republice. Rozhovory jsou doplněny o portrétní fotografie a výsledek je prezentován formou fotoknihy. Teoretická část zasazuje rozhovory do kontextu a seznamuje čtenáře s problematikou migrace v České republice se zaměřením na dobrovolnou a trvalou migraci. V první kapitole jsou definovány pojmy jako je migrace, migrant a cizinec a jsou popsány různé druhy migrace. Dále jsou rozebrány příčiny a dopady migrace. Autorka následně prezentuje statistické údaje týkající se cizinců v České republice a porovnáním dostupných výzkumů rozebírá, jak jsou cizinci vnímáni českou veřejností. Poslední kapitola se věnuje mediálnímu obrazu cizinců, analyzuje současný způsob, jakým média o cizincích informují a stereotypy, které se v souvislosti s nimi objevují. Na závěr jsou rozebrány i některé z novinářských zásad při zobrazování migrantů. Práce má za cíl přiblížit běžný život cizinců a nabídnout pohled odlišný od toho, který je v médiích prezentován nejčastěji.

The Batchelor's thesis entitled "Through the eyes of a stranger: series of interviews with foreigners living in the Czech Republic" is composed of practical and theoretical part. The practical part consists of five publicist interviews with foreigners living permanently in the Czech Republic. Authentic portrait photographs complement the interviews, and the final result is presented as a photobook. The theoretical part puts the interviews into context and acquaints the reader with the migration issues in the Czech Republic with a focus on voluntary and permanent migration. The first chapter defines terms such as migration, migrant and foreigner and describes different types of migration. The causes and effects of migration are also discussed. The author then presents statistical data on foreigners in the Czech Republic and, by comparing available research, analyzes how the Czech public perceives foreigners. The last chapter deals with the media image of foreigners, analyzes the current way in which the media inform about foreigners and the stereotypes that appear in connection with them. Finally, some of the journalistic principles in portraying migrants are discussed.
