Sociální práce s etiopskou menšinou v Rishon LeZion

Abstract

Bachelor thesis deals with the origin and development of the Jewish community in Ethiopia, called Beta Israel, especially in the 20th century. It describes immigration to Israel and consequently integration and discrimination in Israeli society. My thesis consists of two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part compiles historical and contemporary sources about this issue. The second part illustrates the Yahel organization support of the Ethiopian minority, focusing on social work done by foreign volunteers in Rishon LeZion.

Bakalářská práce se zabývá původem a vývojem židovské komunity v Etiopii, která se nazývá Beta Israel, především ve 20. století. Popisuje imigraci do Izraele a následně integraci a diskriminaci v izraelské společnosti. Práce se skládá ze dvou částí, teoretické a praktické. Teoretická část kompiluje historické i současné prameny o této problematice. Druhá část ukazuje organizaci Yahel podporující etiopskou menšinu, zaměřuje se na sociální práci, kterou v rámci organizace vykonávají zahraniční dobrovolníci v Rishon LeZion.
