Souvislost přírodních katastrof a sociální důvěry

Abstract

This work deals with the social impact of natural disasters in the form of changes in the level of generalized trust. First, I formulate the theoretical basis of the analysis and conclude that the change in the level of social trust is an adaptive response to the newly emerged risks. Furthermore, I formulate my own theory of change and continuity of attitudes after a natural disaster based on the role of the level of trust before the disaster. Following a natural disaster, there may be more conformity on the part of individuals whose level of trust differs from that of the majority. I also identify other intervening variables that can influence a given relationship, including by analyzing a special case - the Tohoku earthquake in Japan where, I take into account country's cultural context. I hypothesize that the temporary decline in social trust after the disaster occurred because of the technogenic disaster in Fukushima. Tato práce se zabývá sociálním dopadem přírodních katastrof v podobě změn v úrovní generalizované důvěry. Nejprve formuluji teoretická východiska analýzy a docházím k závěru, že změna v úrovni sociální důvěry je adaptační reakcí na nově vzniklá rizika. Dále formuluji vlastní teorii změny a kontinuity postoje po přírodní katastrofě, přičemž vycházím z úlohy úrovně důvěry před katastrofou. Po přírodní katastrofě může docházet ke konformitě na straně jedinců, jejichž úroveň důvěry se odlišuje od úrovně většiny. Dále identifikují jiné intervenující proměnné, které mohou vstupovat do daného vztahu, a to i pomocí analýzy konkrétního případu - zemětřesení Tóhoku v Japonsku s přihlédnutím ke kulturnímu kontextu země. Vyslovuji hypotézu, že k dočasnému snížení sociální důvěry po katastrofě došlo z důvodu technogenní katastrofy ve Fukušimě.
