Andalusie za Abd ar-Rahmána I.: Střet islámu s křesťanskou kulturou

Abstract

Bachelor's Thesis "Andalusia during the life of Abd ar-Rahman I.: Confrontation of Islam with Christian culture" has for a task to describe Visigoth-Hispanian face of the Iberian Peninsula in the first place and an influence of Christianity then at the local region before the invasion of Islamic culture. Also, it will note the complicated situation in the Middle East between the Umayyad and the Abbasid dynasties, the culmination of which led the surviving Umayyads far to Europe to conquer a part of the territory of contemporary Spain. After the Muslim expansion then on the Iberian Peninsula, the thesis continues to view the lines of conquerors and analyse sources, which document us their point of view focused on newly gained territories and confrontation with local citizens of Christian culture, over whom they took domination. The thesis does not ignore also other reactions from the Christian rulers, who have ruled near the area where expansion happened and later became even their matter. Important is also perception of the new domination by just local citizens, survivors, who stayed in Andalusia despite the Islamic annexation under the Umayyad flag led by Abd ar-Rahman. Bakalářská práce "Andalusie za života Abd ar-Rahmána I.: Střet islámu s křesťanskou kulturou" si klade za úkol nejprve popsat vizigótsko-hispánskou podobu Iberského poloostrova a tehdejší vliv křesťanství na tamější oblast před vpádem islámské kultury. Též zmapuje komplikovanou situaci na Blízkém východě mezi dynastiemi Umajjovců a Abbásovců, jejíž vyvrcholení vedlo přeživší Umajjovce až do Evropy k dobytí části území dnešního Španělska. Po následné muslimské expanzi na Iberském ostrově se dále práce podívá do řad dobyvatelů a analyzuje prameny, jež nám dokládají jejich úhel pohledu na nově získaná území a konfrontaci s tamním obyvatelem křesťanské kultury, nad nimiž převzali nadvládu. Neopomíná též další reakce z řad křesťanských panovníků v jejichž blízkosti se expanze udála a následně se jich začala i týkat. Klíčové jest však též i vnímání nové nadvlády právě místním obyvatelstvem, přeživším, kteří zůstali v Andalusii i navzdory islámskému záboru pod Umajjovským praporem vedeným Abd ar-Rahmánem.
