Amazonie jako křižovatka v prózách Miltona Hatouma

Abstract

Bakalářská práce se zabývá specifickými rysy Amazonie, které jsou vyobrazeny v knihách Dva bratři a Sirotkové ráje od současného brazilského spisovatele Miltona Hatouma. Geograficky, historicky, kulturně, politicky i ekonomicky vykresluje zejména brazilské město Manaus. Ve spojitosti s tímto městem a s celou amazonskou oblastí představuje nejen autora, ale i místní život s jeho specifickými prvky. Rozbor románu Dva bratři se zaměřuje na Manaus, literárně ztvárněný jako město plné křižovatek, etnických, kulturních i náboženských. Analýza novely Sirotkové ráje nachází mezi oběma díly shodné rysy, těžiště ovšem shledává v zobrazení sociálních problémů a v představení Manausu jako reálného města plného mýtů. V závěru předestřené faktografické informace o Amazonii a dohledané literární pasáže zobrazují Hatoumův specifický pohled na tuto jedinečnou a neustále metamorfozující oblast. The bachelor thesis deals with the specific features of the Amazon that are shown in the books of Milton Hatoum - Two brothers and Orphans of Eldorado. Geographically, historically, culturally, politically and economically presents the Brazilian city of Manaus. In the connection to this city and to the Amazon itself, it introduces not just the author but also the local life with its specific features. The analysis of the novel Two Brothers focuses on Manaus literally rendered as a city full of intersections - ethnic, cultural and religious. The analysis of the novel Orphans of Eldorado finds the same features in both novels. However, he finds the center of gravity in portraying social problems and in the presentation of Manaus as a real city full of myths. In conclusion, the facts about the Amazon and the searched literature passages show Hatoum's specific view of this unique and constantly metamorphic area.
